Rick Ross Reportedly Charged For Beating Groundskeeper
The rapper is allegedly planning to argue he was acting in self-defense.
Last summer Rick Ross was accused of pistol-whipping Jonathan Zamudio, who worked on the rapper's property. The MC was initially taken into custody and denied ball. He eventually got out after paying $2 million.
According to TMZ, a grand jury recently charged the MC in the case. These charges include "kidnapping, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm while committing a crime." Ross's lawyer, Steve Sadow, is reportedly planning to argue that the rapper was within his rights because he was "acting in self-defense and in defense of his property when he encountered trespassers."
A representative for Ross was not immediately available for comment.
