James Blake Set To Headline London’s Field Day Festival
Is a new album coming soon?
London's Field Day festival already boasts a stellar line up, featuring names like Kelela, PJ Harvey and Skepta. Today, the event further added to its range of acts by announcing James Blake as Saturday's headline act, as well as performances from London rappers Loyle Carner and Roots Manuva and Irish hip-hop artist Rejjie Snow.
The news comes in the wake of Blake stealthily premiering new track, "Modern Soul" as part of his collective 1-800 Dinosaur's residency on the UK's BBC Radio 1 residency yesterday, and points towards the possibility of a forthcoming new record. The most recent intel on Blake's follow up to 2013's Overgrown was last year's confirmation that the album would be titled Radio Silence and that Kanye West and Justin Vernon were featured on the project.
With this latest wave of acts, Field Day has cemented its place as one of 2016's standout events. The festival will take place in Hackney's Victoria Park on June 11 and 12 , 2016. View the full lineup and buy tickets here.
