Queens rapper Anik Khan is long gone in love on his latest, "Too Late Now." I went from this way to that way to your way, he sings, showman-like, over a Jarreau Vandal (of Soulection) production that sounds like lawn jazz as imagined from the space age.
"'Too Late Now' is about finding new love and commitment," Khan explained in a note to The FADER. "I took a phrase that usually has a negative undertone in the context of romance and flipped it to make a bold statement. We fell for each other, now it's too late to back out; we're in this for the long haul."
