Today, Bristol producer Ziro premieres his new track, "Surrender." And this time around he's joined forces with Dublin singer Gemma Dunleavy of Murlo collaboration fame, who leaves traces of soulfulness on the dark yet alluring track. There's no doubt Dunleavy complements the mood, as she begs her love interest to give in to her while the beat heightens the dramatics: Recognize me, totalize me/ I'll do anything for you to surprise me.
"I've wanted to work with Gemma since seeing her perform in Ireland at Boiler Room last year,” Ziro told The FADER via email. "After I finished my Lionheart EP in the summer I was listening to a lot more R&B and I started to bring its key ideas into my music. [I] thought Gemma would sound great doing something icy and atmospheric and she killed it! Looking forward to hearing her perform it live." Crazylegs will release "Surrender" on February 12.
