Bobby Shmurda’s Trial Reportedly Delayed Until May

Bobby Shmurda's court date of February 22 2016 has been rescheduled to May 11, reports XXL.

The change in date was confirmed to XXL by Kati Cornell, New York's Director of Public Information at the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor. Judge Abraham Clott, who is presiding over the case, has decided to try all of the defendants separately, which was the previous judge's plan until he left in January (Shmurda was arrested along with several affiliates of his GS9 crew on December 17 2014)

Shmurda faces five charges on eight counts, including conspiracy to commit 2nd degree murder and conspiracy to commit 2nd degree assault. He was was denied his $2 million bail last month for the seventh time, though notorious pharmaceutical CEO Martin Shrekeli had reportedly offered to help. He's also charged with “possessing prison contraband,” separate from this indictment.
