Imad Royal And Pell Are “Down For Whatever” On New Single
The D.C.-based R&B singer and producer teams up with the New Orleans rapper for his latest track.
Imad Royal first broke into the music scene as a multitalented artist last year with the release of his first EP, a polished collection of hard-hitting electro-pop numbers titled Cycles. After relocating from Washington, D.C. to the sunnier climes of L.A., he delivers "Down for Whatever" with the help of New Orleans-based rapper, Pell.
It's a laid-back, grooving blend of string-led melodies and modern hip-hop percussion that carries a deceptive air of nonchalance. Amid ornamental trumpet fanfare, Royal delivers lines in an effortless falsetto, explaining his crazed desire for his lover: I'm not trying to be cocky/ I want you like nobody. But, you know, it's whatever.
