"Where Are Ü Now," Diplo's collaboration with Skrillex and Justin Bieber, was named FADER's No. 1 song of 2015. Diplo got in on the year-end roundup game recently via his Saturday night takeover on BBC Radio 1 XTRA. "This is the most important mix of the year," the producer declared at the beginning of the two-hour show. "What a crazy year. Me personally, I was busy as hell doing all kinds of stuff... Busy year, but what an amazing year for music in general. Club music, all over the world, has taken over, and it's got a hell of a lot cooler."
After that, Diplo ripped through track after track, including selections from Big Sean, Ty Dolla $ign, Nicki Minaj, Brenmar, Fetty Wap, and Calvin Harris. At one point he boldly segued from a remix of D.R.A.M.'s "Cha Cha" into Drake's "Hotline Bling" into Justin Bieber's "Hotline Bling" cover. He made plenty of time for his own output as well, ending the set with a Post Malone/Jack Ü mash-up, "Where Are Ü Now," and his Sleepy Tom collaboration "Be Right There."
