The secret ingredient in Jerome LOL's new remix BAILE's "Leaves" is a fresh batch electrostatic, which he harvested from his laptop while making it.

"The 'modem sound' you hear in the remix is actually a recording feedback that my internal mic on my laptop was creating when I forgot to change the source input when recording a synth," he explained in an email to The FADER. "I got this cool feedback sound and I messed around with it to make it fit."

The result is pretty and glitchy, like a song being dispatched direct from the sound system of a nightclub in the way-distant future. Hear for yourself below.
