Lady Bee—hailing from Amsterdam and coming off a year of touring—and Noise Cans—the sound system described as "badman rave" by its anonymous Bermudian frontman—have teamed up on new song "Bucka" to pay tribute to Jamaica.
The result of this collaboration—also featuring vocals from dancehall artist Mr. Vegas—is a global mix that ensures the song feels both fresh and somehow familiar. The video is unabashedly fun, serving to sneak the viewer into the best dance party going.The accompanying video is as glitchy as the song's trap heart, and the snippets of Noise Cans' signature suited and masked figures keep it on the right side of interesting.
"The fact that we could capture Jamaica in some of its purest elements is a dream come true for me," Noise Cans told The FADER, speaking on the collaboration. "'Bucka' is the first installment to the masquerade madness to come from Noise Cans."
