A Tribe Called Quest are reissuing their classic debut album People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, and to celebrate they performed "Can I Kick It" on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. It's the group's first televised performance in 15 years.
The group reunited in 2006, and broke up after opening for Kanye West on his Yeezus tour. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the group's Phife Dawg claims it was Q-Tip's decision, and it doesn't sit well with him. "I think it is ludicrous that we are not performing together...Tribe is no longer a group, first off. So once Q-Tip made the announcement that those were the last two shows, that was pretty much it, for real...it's dumb, and I don't agree with it and we're doing the fans a great injustice by not getting together and rocking, and that's all I can really speak on as far as that goes."
If you've watched the documentary Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest, you'll know that Phife and Q-Tip disagreeing is nothing new. Watch the not-a-reunion above.
