As The Weeknd continues his ascension towards super stardom, the Ethiopian Toronto native is not just focusing on his Billboard-charting catalogue of hits but also venturing into fashion. The Weeknd, along with his XO crew, started their fashion debut last year releasing cut & sew apparel, akin to that of fellow 6 rep Drake and OVO. But Abel is not stopping there. According to Instagram posts from both The Weeknd, and rap's new favorite designer Alexander Wang, the two have got something cooking up. Although details are very minimal, the collaboration is definitely one that'll pique a lot of interest.
As we wait for more info to come out about his latest fashion venture, take a hit of The Weeknd's other collaboration with luxury vaporizer supplier, PAX. In celebration of Abel's latest album reaching number one on the charts and the kickstart of his "Beauty Behind The Madness" tour, PAX has released a specially customized version of its amazing PAX 2 vaporizer. It comes engrained with the XO imprint, is embedded with a special yellow light (to match the tour's signature color) and even plays "The Hills" as it turns on. Check out and shop the piece here.
Update: A press release from Alexander Wang reads, "We are pleased to announce that The Weeknd is dressed exclusively in Alexander Wang Menswear and WANGXO for his ‘The Madness’ arena tour which commenced in his hometown, Toronto, Canada, on November 3, 2015. WANGXO is a limited edition capsule collection co-designed by Alexander Wang and The Weeknd’s XO brand. This limited edition capsule will be available in select Alexander Wang stores and on www.alexanderwang.com later this month." Stay tuned!
