Blood Orange Debuts “Sandra’s Smile”

As promised, a new Blood Orange track appeared today. Like much of Hynes' work, "Sandra's Smile" has an '80s pop-funk foundation. But the drum programming is heftier than usual—there's a firm presence in the beat, and even a hint of trap. On Twitter, Hynes shared the song's lyrics along with a picture of Sandra Bland, who died this year in a Texas prison.
