T-Pain stopped by ESPN's Highly Questionable this week to discuss overcoming obstacles and the time Michael Jackson invited him over for dry nachos. "People fear what they don't understand," the singer/rapper told his hosts. "There's always a 'kill yourself' [comment]," he added. "That's pretty normal—a common phrase in internet language these days. That's probably the most harsh thing."
But T-Pain's success has some perqs as well: Michael Jackson once invited him over for a chat. "He told me that 'Bartender' was the only physical CD he had bought in the last four years," T-Pain remembered. "That was one of my proud moments. I didn't cry in front of him, 'cause I'm a G. But when I left, there was one or two tears."
