Earlier this summer, The FADER spent a week with the rapper Vic Mensa in his hometown Chicago. As his spotlight has grown over the past year, he has gone from freestyling in the train station to moshing on stage at the BRIT Awards with Kanye West and now he is teetering on the verge of fame. "He really did what he always knew he was going to do," says SAVEMONEY producer Stefan Ponce in the trailer for Down to Start a Riot, The FADER's forthcoming Vic documentary. "Like, damn, this guy is really about to change his life."
