Fetty Wap already made a splash when he became the first rapper in years to have two singles in the top ten on the Hot 100 simultaneously. Now Billboard reports that he set a record by pumping his first four debut singles into the top ten on the Hot Rap Songs chart simultaneously. "Trap Queen" is No. 2; "My Way" sits at No. 3, "679" claims No. 5, and "Again," his latest single, just arrived at No. 8.
According to Billboard, eight artists have had four top ten rap hits (combining featured and lead appearances): T.I., 50 Cent, T-Pain, Lil Wayne, Drake, 2 Chainz, Eminem, and Iggy Azalea. However, none of these MCs achieved this feat with their first four singles.
The record for the most top ten Hot Rap singles at the same time is held by 50 Cent and Drake, with five apiece. Does Fetty have another single ready to go?
