Veteran production (and brother) duo Christian Rich have delivered a futuristic and sexually fraught video for "Compromise," their collaboration with emergent U.K. singer Sinead Harnett, DMV rapper GoldLink, and precocious London producer Secaina Hudson off their debut album FW14.
In an email to The FADER, the brothers described the slick video as being a bit like Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel"—perhaps because of the impressive choreography—and all about morning after vibes. "We feel like it's a 'first thing in the morning video,'" they wrote. "It's briefly about a woman and her internal sexual compromise, which is shown in a dance sequence. The choreography syncs with different parts of the track, including the strings and drum parts at times."
For more from Christian Rich, the mix they made for The FADER is chock-full of rare J Dilla and Timbaland cuts. You can also stream their debut album FW14 on NPR.
