Wavves Calls For Loneliness On “Heavy Metal Detox”

For embracing angst in solitude.

August 12, 2015

In anticipation of Wavves' forthcoming fifth solo album, V, frontman Nathan Williams has shared another new track via Twitter. It's called "Heavy Metal Detox" and is basically about doing nothing with nobody: I'm just taking a break/ Not just from you, from everything, he sings. Between the fizzy guitars and raspy vocals, the song is packed with enough soft-grunge angst to drown out whatever self-inflicted misery is bringing you down this week. V will be released on October 2nd via Ghost Ramp and Warner Bros. Records.
