In a lyric-free track, new UK producer Sim Hutchins has ambitiously set out to tackle both the controversy surrounding appropriation and the power of the internet with the premiere of “I Will Unify The Hood Through My Vision.” The lead single off London label No Pain In Pop's third installment of The Bedroom Club compilation series, the track's pulsating melody is at points engulfed by pitchy electronic elements, adding an edge of chaos to the proceedings.

“[The] track title lifted from a user annotation in a Chiraq hood video, is both a comment on appropriation, and a testament to the optimism of web 2.0's power to unite,” Hutchins told The FADER via email. “Whether it's the forming of online communities, or the observing of established ones, the momentum at which trends spread amongst the masses is eclipsed only by how fast they fall out of fashion.” No Pain In Pop will release Hutchins debut LP later this year.
