Bobby Shmurda Reportedly Faces Additional Prison Time
His girlfriend may have tried to smuggle him a knife.
The New York Times reports that Bobby Shmurda now faces additional charges “of promoting prison contraband, perjury and criminal possession of a weapon” after his girlfriend, Kimberly Rousseau, allegedly attempted to sneak the rapper a knife during a visit. Shmurda pleaded not guilty in court yesterday.
According to The Times, the incident occurred last month when Rousseau visited Shmurda on Rikers Island. Prison guards reportedly caught her trying to pass the MC a “sharp metal object” that she concealed in her bra.
Rousseau was released after pleading not guilty. She will have a court hearing in August. Smurda returns to court in October. If guilty, he could face seven additional years in prison.
