After teasing the song on tour this summer, Lana Del Rey released “HoneyMoon” today. Though the singer concocted more of a country rock sound for her last album—with help from the Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach, who produced the majority of the record—“Honeymoon” finds Del Rey in a string-heavy, heart-wrenching mood. (As the singer told Billboard about her new work, “I’m kind of enjoying sinking into this more noirish feel for this one.”) There’s passion here, but also the slightest touch of menace.
