M.I.A. Is Dropping A New Audiovisual Project Called “Matahdatah Scroll 01 Broader Than A Border” On Apple Music

M.I.A. has been teasing new visuals and song snippets over the past week, but come Monday she'll finally be releasing a project in full. Titled "Matahdatah Scroll 01 Broader Than A Border," it reportedly consists of two songs and an accompanying short film, which could be the one filmed in the Ivory Coast that her label allegedly halted out of concerns for cultural appropriation. The bundle also sounds a lot like the three-song mixtape M.I.A. posted an email about on Instagram, calling it a 12-minute long "journey around the planet." (Presumably she just cut one of the songs.) Only a few days until we'll know for sure.
