R&B experimentalist Jesse Boykins III wrote the anthemic refrain of his new song "When You Get There"—tell me where you're going when you get there—over the din of Lincoln Tunnel traffic outside his New Jersey home. The song is a tender send-off, which borrows Hudson Mohawke's bracing remix of "Vista," by Jackson and His Computerband, for its backbone. "Its definitely a more electronic ddm vibe," Boykins III told The FADER, "but has a lot of organic elements to it that drew my ears in." Ours, too. Listen below, and then get in the zone with Boykin's good friend Mohawke in the current issue of The FADER.
