Fetty Wap appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon more than a month ago, but it took him a little longer to make it out west. Last night, he finally appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. First, he naturally performed “Trap Queen,” one of the biggest hits of 2015. But he retooled the track, singing the opening verse with a carefree sweetness that verged on reggae. He also performed “My Way,” which might be his next hit. When he brought “Trap Queen” to The Tonight Show last month, Fetty was accompanied by the Roots; this time he was backed by the band Phony Ppl, though at times it was hard to pick out the live instrumentation over the pre-recorded parts.
