Experience A Technicolor Leather Jacket In Roosevelt’s Video For “Night Moves”
The first new original from the Cologne producer/singer in over two years.
Roosevelt is back, with a new forthcoming double A-side on eminent UK dance label Greco-Roman. "Night Moves" is the first of those tracks, with the video showing us the journey of a young man blessed (or cursed?) with a radiant technicolor LED jacket as he makes his way through the darkness of the city. "There's no reason to hide/You know the night moves on and on," the singer-producer intones as the technicolor boy finds his place among the other residents of the night by the end of the song.
"The track is somehow an ode to the night, I guess, not only because I mostly worked really late in the studio this last year, but also because the night itself with its artificial and hedonistic character always fascinates me and that was the inspiration for the lyrics," Roosevelt told the FADER via email. "Especially the second half of the song, which is about that moment of the night where all kinds of lost souls realize they're in a boat together and strongly believe that there won't be an end to what's happening. A bit like telling a lie over and over again until you actually think it's the truth. It's a weird process that holds its own magic for me."
