Tamaryn’s Back With A Hazy Power Ballad, “Hands All Over Me”
Her long-awaited third LP, Cranekiss, is out August 28th.
"Hands All Over Me" is the sort of hypnotic power ballad that only Tamaryn could dream up. With its crisp, '80s-leaning percussion and little call-and-response echoes, our first taste of the follow-up to 2012's Tender New Signs is definitely a pop song—one that can seamlessly exist in the sorts of pulsing, humidity-steeped sonic spaces that the New York-based shoegaze artist is known for inhabiting. "It was written late in the session," Tamaryn told FADER of the track's inception in an email. "[Co-producer] Jorge Elbrecht came to me with an idea for a sort of freestyle pop song meshed with the sounds we were already experimenting with, and I thought it was brilliant. I think this is going to be a lot of people's favorite track." The album's it's on, Cranekiss, is out August 28th via Mexican Summer; that's the cover art below.
