Shit Robot And Reggie Watts Team Up On “Where It’s At”

Hear the DFA mainstay and merry comedian-cum-musicmaker’s new single.

April 28, 2015

As Shit Robot, Marcus Lambkin has developed a reputation for absolutely fucking caning it when it comes to analog-sounding, body-moving house music. And, wouldn't you have it, his latest collaboration with very capable musician and all-around funny guy Reggie Watts, "Where It's At" (NOT A BECK COVER), is another hot-to-trot tune that charts a path through the glorious past of Midwestern dance music and sets its sights towards a hundred years in the future—at least, because this is what I imagine robots will be dancing to in the year 2115.

The tune was mixed by James Murphy and is a little taste of what's in store, as Lambkin heads into the studio to record the follow-up to last year's We Got a Love. Can't wait. For now, the single's out April 28 (hey, that's today) with a remix from Johnny Aux on the flip, straight from the DFA.
