Protesters might not be receiving the balanced coverage they deserve from the media tonight but a handful of musicians have offered their support. Tonight everyone from Rihanna to Kelly Rowland, Vic Mensa, Freddie Gibbs, Chuck D, Russell Simmons, YG, Big Boi, and Bun B took to Twitter to weigh in on the protests following the tragic death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray, who passed away from spinal injuries most likely caused by a "rough ride" at the hands of Baltimore police, six of whom have since been suspended. Here's how the music world responded.

BALTIMORE STAY STRONG.

Don't you understand? We're tired of being murdered in the street like dogs. How many times can you be shot at before you shoot back?
— VIC MENSA (@VicMensa) April 28, 2015
Maybe the aggression is misdirected. But you can't say it's unwarranted.
— VIC MENSA (@VicMensa) April 28, 2015
And I'm sorry but I don't need to see anyone not black saying how the fuck we should or shouldn't feel. It's just not your place.

I'm not forgetting Latinos. My brother was attacked with rubber bullets and tear gas in Baltimore. he's Mexican. he knows that pain.

Don't get it twisted. The people are under attack. Not the police.

HBO pimped that 1-sided view of BMORE in THE WIRE. Show & spread it across the USA , and 15 years later ((((BOOM))))

Freddie Gibbs
Baltimore I respect it, 100%. Just do it peacefully, we don't need an excuse for them to kill another one of us. #FreddyGray

Bun B
Damn. Baltimore is getting outta control. I understand protests. I don't understand looting CVS. That's not honoring Freddie Grey.
