There’s A New Way To Sling Beats Online

cc: Chief Keef, it’s never been easier to search “Finally Rich type beats.”

A Polish teenager named Young Ravisu struck it big in 2013 after one of his productions turned up on Chief Keef's major-label debut, Finally Rich. The legend goes: Keef found the airy, otherworldly "Citgo" instrumental amidst the dregs of YouTube while searching for "finally rich type beats." Tenuto.fm, a newly launched online marketplace, has staked out to streamline this sort of digital crate-digging. Connecting beat-makers and beat-seekers by just a few clicks, the site makes it easy to search instrumentals by type (i.e. "Drake type beat" or "Metro Boomin type beat") and then to license them on the spot. According to Tenuto co-founder Sricharan Maddineni, name producers like Vinay (who has credits on The Pinkprint) and Rami Beatz (Kid Cudi's Man on the Moon) have accounts—but the real fun is in the search for the next Young Ravisu.
