George FitzGerald Debuts “Crystallise” Video

Berlin house god George FitzGerald's debut album, Fading Love, comes out April 28th via Domino. Far less clubby than it could've been, the record is instead one of the most enjoyably vibe-to-it-anywhere electronic releases of the year. Intricately chill, it reminds me a bit of Peaking Lights—funny, since that's who inspired the rad animated clip for "Crystallise," featuring Lawrence Hart. "I loved the work Joe Mortimer did on Peaking Lights' 'Cosmic Logic' last year," FitzGerald told The FADER of the video's director and designer. "With 'Crystallise' being quite an ethereal and mysterious track, I thought a similarly abstract, hand-drawn approach would fit perfectly with the track."
