This January, 26-year-old A$AP Yams tragically and mysteriously passed away. The cause of death wasn't immediately known when FADER checked in with a spokesperson for the public affairs department of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of New York City, though some close to the A$AP Mob founder denied that drugs were at play. It has since been revealed however that Yams' death was drug-induced. According to New York Times music critic Jon Caramanica, the Chief Medical Examiner has called Yams' death "an accident caused by acute mixed drug intoxication (inc. opiates & benzodiazepine)." We'll update this story as more information comes in.
