Rome Fortune and Two-9 producer CeeJ have reunited to deliver a second serving of lolo, the 2012 collaborative mixtape that helped put Rome on the map in Atlanta. Titled loloU, the eleven-tracks are sample heavy, borrowing sounds from Tortured Soul, Phony Ppl, Actress, and other artists they're currently fucking with, and light on guest features (iLoveMakonnen appears twice, and that's it). It's part warm and breezy ("lololUez" in particular has a nice swing to it), and a prime soundtrack for these early days of spring and late days of winter.
"We created a sound of its own in 2012 when we released lolo. People were so receptive to it that the project became it's own thing, it has a true cult following," the duo tell FADER. "Now that we have bigger followings, we felt that now is the time to give people this sound. It's a total vibe that seems to be void in hip hop culture. It's not trying to be anything else, it just is what it is. In our opinion people need this. Now. Enjoy." Stream it down below or download it here.
