Prefuse 73 is BACK, baby, and it's with a vengeance: the electronic veteran is returning with a new EP, Forsyth Gardens, on April 28—AND he'll follow that with a brand new LP, Rivington Não Rio, on May 12. (If you'll believe it, he's got another EP coming later this year too, called Every Color of Darkness.) This trippy new track is from the forthcoming EP, and Prefuse explains its origins thusly: "This particular song and the entire Forsyth Gardens EP is based on / inspired by my neighborhood. After having lived all over the world, here I am, living in a Chinatown apartment across the street from the same apartment I lived in 1995. No matter how many areas have been masked with a suburban facade in NYC Chinatown feels more or less resilient."
