MNDR And Sweet Valley Premiere Dance 4 A Dollar EP

“It is the soundtrack to nihilist future acid punk versions of these worlds.”

February 24, 2015

Singer, songwriter, and fashion plate MNDR has teamed with beat making brothers Kynan and Nathan Williams (of Wavves), aka Sweet Valley, for a mutinous and candy colored EP called Dance 4 A Dollar. The five-song project plays with woozy synth and trip-hop vibrations, exploring the outer ranges of pop as well as their local Los Angeles culture. "This EP is the altered states parallel universe of East LA neighborhoods Highland Park and Eagle Rock," MNDR tells FADER. "It is the soundtrack to nihilist future acid punk versions of these worlds, mixed with cough syrup and taking nods from Charles Burns' Black Hole, Akira, and Love and Rockets." Stream the project below or make it yours to own on iTunes.
