House Legend Felix Da Housecat Got Refused Entry To Berghain, Was Very Unhappy About It
“They built their club on blood sweat and tears off of Chicago and Detroit.”
House pioneer Felix Da Housecat got turned away from prestigious Berlin nightclub Berghain last night, if you can believe that. The Chicago DJ and producer was understandably upset about it, and took to Twitter to unleash a huge stream of the tweets at the club accusing them of racial discrimination, prioritising money over a love of music, and disrespecting Chicago, Detroit, and "the house Frankie [Knuckles] built." Felix also wrote repeatedly that he was "in tears" over the incident, saying "we worked so hard to be heard, that's all we wanted." The legend's management removed his tweets overnight, but you can read his morning-after thoughts on the matter below, and see his original response captured in full here.
Woke up this morning ... Have no regrets my mgmt took down tweets! I stand by every word thee truth hurts but it is what it is!!!
