Just when we'd gotten used to Chaz Bundick's chunky dance productions on last fall's Les Sins album Michael, he's switched it up again, grabbing an amp and strumming 75º pop-punk for his upcoming Toro y Moi album What For? "Empty Nesters" feels like another bright take on in-betweeners fresh out of college and escaping high school bedrooms: Did you meet with your advisor? Bundick scoffs, and in the new clip, debuted via Pitchfork, he rocks all white and outruns Death, or real life—whichever is scarier in your mid-20s. What For? is due April 7th on Carpark.
