UPDATE 2/12/15 11:55 a.m.: TMZ reports that there's video of the alleged hit-and-run, and that Knight's team claims the footage shows Cle "Bone" Sloan pointing a firearm at Knight, corroborating his argument that he acted in self-defense. However, law enforcement sources have suggested the footage will help bolster the prosecution's case against Knight. Nearby survellaince cameras were initially said to have been inoperative, but that now doesn't seem to be the case.
According to TMZ, a physical altercation over his portrayal in the upcoming N.W.A. biopic led to Suge Knight's alleged murder charge. A sit-down with Dr. Dre to discuss the film, scheduled by Suge's friend Terry Carter, was pre-empted by a January 29th fight with actor Cle "Bone" Sloan, with Knight eventually backing his car up over Sloan and Carter, who was killed.
Knight will remain in jail for the next six weeks, charged with murder, attempted murder, and a hit-and-run, according to Page Six. Knight pled not guilty, claiming to have struck the men by accident while trying to escape an attack. He then suffered a panic attack and was hospitalized after his hearing, but remained jailed as he's considered a flight risk. Knight will face the judge again on March 20th, and faces up to life in prison if convicted.
