The Mansion From Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” Video Caught Fire

So it's gonna be forever/ Or it's gonna go down in flames...That's a lyric from Taylor Swift's "Blank Space," and it's also a good way to describe the fate of the mansion featured in the video for Taylor Swift's "Blank Space." The Independent reports that Winfield Mansion, a vast expanse of largesse on Long Island's Glen Cove built by the family responsible for the Woolworth's chain, was recently and severely damaged in a fire last week. It took around 150 firefighters to put out the blaze over the course of two and a half hours; Nassau County Fire Marshall investigations unit supervisor James Hickman said that the part of the building engulfed in flames was "irreparably damaged." That's a shame!

Investigators don't yet know what caused the fire, but The Independent points out that the mansion's rumored to be haunted since Frank Winfield Woolworth's second daughter took her own life in the home on May 2, 1917. Did a ghost set fire to the mansion? Probably not! Maybe the guy spurned in the "Blank Space" video did (just kidding).
