Watch Run The Jewels Talk To Kids About Female Presidents And Medicinal Marijuana

“I’ve given up on growing, but you still have a future.” - El-P

February 04, 2015

In the first episode of a new web series from Run The Jewels called Barbershop Talk, set of course in Killer Mike's Atlanta barbershop, Mike and El-P sit down with a group of schoolchildren for a political discussion. Crime and punishment, the responsibility of rappers, medicinal (and non-medicinal) marijuana and the potential for a female president are among the topics on the table, with responses ranging from the cute to the super cute (see: the kid who thinks his mom should be president). As El-P brightly tells the children, "I've given up on growing, I've given up on hope for myself, but you still have a future." Watch it above.
