Take A Trip Inside Octo Octa’s “Fever Dream”
Thumping new house tune from the underground producer.
Brooklyn producer Michael Bouldry-Morrison's Octo Octa project has transcended the ridiculous "hipster house" underpinnings he and his estimably talented colleagues were initially tagged with in the beginning of the 2010s, and Octo Octa in particular has become a notable name in dance music's underground community. His latest release, the More Times EP, is out February 2 via Gerd Janson's reliable Running Back imprint; the thumping "Fever Dream" starts out menacing but blooms into something even more intriguing. "'Fever Dream' is supposed to feel like a hazy morning memory of peak time," Bouldry-Morrison told FADER in an email. "Being out having fun with friends, checking in and out of the dance floor, heavy pianos shifting in and out of focus. A solid night of dancing."
