Bobby Shmurda's days on Rikers Island may be numbered (for now, at least). Bail bondsman to the stars Ira Judelson was present at Shmurda's arraignment yesterday, according to Bossip, to work on posting bail for the "Hot Nigga" rapper. "Bobby is relying on me to put up the $2 million to get him out the door, back to his family and get his music career back on track," Judelson explained. Shmurda's new lawyer Kenneth J. Montgomery has since confirmed the development with FADER, adding that the $2 million bail has been posted but must pass the 72 hour surety during which time the government processes and reviews the package. If approved, Shmurda will be released until his trail. His next day in court is April 22.
Update 1/30/15 8:00 p.m.: Shmurda was initially at Rikers, but has since been moved to Manhattan Detention Center, says Montgomery.
