UPDATE 1/30/15 11:20 a.m: Suge Knight surrendered himself to authorities early Friday morning, and according to the LA Times, he has since been charged with murder and is being held on $2 million bail. Additionally, TMZ is now reporting that Knight had been involved in a physical altercation with Cle "Bone" Sloane before the incident and that it's believed Sloane was his intended target, not his friend Carter.
Death Row Records co-founder and former CEO Suge Knight was at the wheel during a hit and run in Compton today which left one man dead and another injured, TMZ reports. The incident allegedly happened when Knight visited a shoot that involved Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and the Game. Once Knight arrived, he got into an altercation with two crew members and then apparently went into his car and reversed over Terry Carter, a friend of his, injuring Cle "Bone" Sloane—who acted in Training Day and End of Watch—in the process. According to TMZ's sources, the reason that Knight fled so quickly was that he was worried about his health after being shot six times this past August. Carter is reportedly dead.
