Kaytranada was tapped for a monthly residency at BBC's Radio 1 this year, and the first installment is now online and as groovy as you'd expect. Patrice Rushen b-sides, Michael Jackson demos, Brazilian funk, French rap and Ms. Dynamite(!)—globetrotting indeed. The true gems are a handful of unreleased beats from the producer himself, as well as an essential new cut from The Internet called "Girl" that has Syd sounding like Nicole Wray and Gina Thompson's play-sister in the best way. Stream and breeze into the weekend over at BBC's website.
