LA-based rapper Speak's Sex Quest EP, dropped on Christmas Day, feels mostly like a tour of half-lit motel rooms over Caleb Stone's dingy beats. But the Kitty-featuring "Tap Twice" offers a moment of softness and intrigue, like a shaft of light cutting momentarily through the curtains (albeit still a red neon light with a seedy buzz). With help from Groundislava on the ebb and flow of the production, the track is pinned around Kitty's just-out-of-reach hook, promising I'll show you my silver lining. If you're into it, you can grab the whole EP over at Bandcamp.
