Cast your mind back briefly to the confusing days of 2013, when this photo revealed that Death Grips had been hanging out with Twilight actor Robert Pattinson and Beyoncé. Now, like Guy Pearce working backwards from a Polaroid, we've got a little more insight into what the connection is between Pattinson and the controversial group. With the limited edition run of Death Grips' third album Government Plates on Black Friday comes a revelation in the liner notes: Pattinson played additional guitar on the track "Birds" (as spotted by a Reddit user). Pitchfork report that Zach Hill recorded Pattinson playing on his iPhone, and the band later sampled the recording. Here's hoping news will soon emerge that Beyoncé also provided back-up vocals for the group; in the meantime, listen to "Birds" again below.
