Yesterday Azealia Banks pulled off one hell a magic trick when she dropped her once-mythical debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste, and proved everyone wrong. It seemed increasingly unlikely in the two years that have lapsed since it was originally slated to come out in the fall of 2012, and it even less so when she was released from her contract with Interscope/Polydor in July. But somehow the spirited Harlem spitter pulled it off, and she'll have you know that she did it all on her own. She took to Twitter to let fans know that she had done it herself, "No help from polydor or interscope," she wrote. "I am the executive producer, everything," she continued. "my blood sweat and tears literally went into the making of this album."
So now it's officially for sale on iTunes and streaming on Spotify, and fans are still in a state of shock.
