See Kim’s North West-Painted Birthday Birkin
Kim’s 34th birthday: a new purse and a two-hour trip to The GAP.
Kanye caught a good amount of heat when My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy cover artist George Condo hand-painted a tan Hermès birkin as a birthday present for Kim. Kanye he paid them no mind. This year, he put an adorable spin on the gift that some people in the fashion world called a "desecration," letting North West go crazy with the paints on another Birkin and videotaping the whole thing for Kim's 34th. As Kim told US Weekly, "Kanye had a box and I opened it up and [the bag] was all painted really cool and on my computer was this message that said 'Play' and it was a video of my daughter sitting outside painting the purse...I had thought it was this new artist who had painted this purse [but] it was my daughter. It was amazing." Also make sure to savor the fact that for Kim's birthday Kimye went to The GAP for "two hours" to buy matching "creme sweaters."
