"Top Shelf" was one of our favorite cuts to drop this month, off this joint project between Larry June and TM88. The single, and the EP it's housed on, felt entirely new: June and TM's "Route 80" continues to cross-pollenate Bay Area slap and Atlanta trap. June maintains a gruff trap dimension to his rhymes, which fits the under-heralded, twisted sound of TM88. A five-track speeding ticket into the weekend.
