Norwegian Producer Drippin Debuts His Twisted Grime On Lit City Trax
Metal meets bamboo on “Kyoto.”
Lit City Trax—the experimental NY club label run by J-Cush of Future Brown—continues an excellent 2014 run with this new track from Norwegian producer Drippin. Much like the recent Lit City tune from Irish producer Saga, Drippin is on a "modern grime" tip. But "Kyoto" has a lot in common with its show-stopping artwork (created by Alberto Troia), in that where Saga's laser-cut productions are all sharp edges, Drippin's beats reveal more subtlety and spaciousness, metal flowing into bamboo and old flowing into new as if it were the most natural thing in the world. "Kyoto" is the first track to appear from the Silver Cloak EP, set for release on November 11. Peep the tracklist below.
