The Baltimore rapper Abdu Ali and producer Schwarz typically defy any single genre characterizations, but their latest collaboration seems happy to zone in on one near and dear: Baltimore club. Where such a back-to-the-past move could seem a false play for nostalgia for other acts, that doesn't appear to be the case here. Starting with a "Rest in peace to K-Swift and Big Tony too" and diving right into the think breaks and "haaaa, stick-em-up"s, it's a well done tribute to the music that inspired both of them so much. Excellent remixes from Jersey's own Kilbourne and Baltimore's Blaqstarr highlight that point.
