There are definitely musical genres that are easier to capture in a music video than footwork. That being said, Ashes57 does a stellar job of mirroring the music's frenetic shuffling of form and content in this video for DJ Spinn & Taso’s “Burn That Kush,” off Hyperdub's forthcoming DJ Rashad tribute compilation, Next Life, due November 11 with all proceeds going to the late genius’ son. The video’s got everything: from frantically spliced graphics of the words BURN THAT KUSH, to virtuosic dancers, to shots of the Tek Life crew—including Rashad himself—smoking lots of weed.
